It appears that some people are having problems updating Avira, including myself. If your automatic update fails then please follow the manual update instructions here

You're welcome. Hope mine works tomorrow or I'll be onto Avira support!!!

Edit: I checked the proxy server settings, changed to 'Do not use a proxy server' rebooted & it updated fine :rolleyes:

No updating problem for me either, but as Nicki said, it was relatively large, 13 updates.

i'm not having any problem getting the updates, but just before i get the message that they've downloaded and installed, avira opens a new window trying to get me to buy the paid version.

is there something i can change in my settings to stop getting that dang sales pitch every day?

I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look very good either.
