hello, I haven't been on here in a while but I knew this was the place to come when I couldn't figure this out... You are all so great at helping.
I have a IE script error message coming up on about every single page I open. Here are the details of my system...
Operating System: XP
Amount of RAM installed: 1GB
Make, Model and variety of computer: Dell Intel Celeron Desktop
Browser: IE8
Name of Anti-virus installed: Avast
Name of Firewall used: What ever is on Windows
Names of anti-malware used: none currently
Problem program (if needed): IE 8
Problem description and when/how occuring: I have been getting this type of script error message :
It pops up several times on each new page I load up. It doesn't matter wether I click yes, no or the x to get rid of it, it always comes back. I have updated everything I can think of and its still showing up. Can someone please tell me how to fix it???

Try this
Open IE > Tools > Internet Options, click on the Advanced Tab, scroll down to Browsing, and put a check beside
Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable Script Debugging (Other), then click OK

Ok went to do that but they were already checked. Any other suggestions? This is driving me nutty because it takes me forever to do anything because I have to keep closing those boxes!

Ok I seem to have fixed it. Not for sure why it was doing that, but I did a windows update on my own, even though my pc is scheduled to do them daily. Once I did the update I noticed it was not doing it anymore. Wondering why it didn't automatically update whatever caused it. I checked my update history and it did updates just 5 days ago. This has been happening for over two weeks. So not sure why the update 5 days ago didn't fix it. Oh Well its done and overwith now. Thanks anyway to you both for trying to help!

I used to get script errors in Facebook games using IE. Sometimes it's the site itself that is at fault. Glad its stopped happening anyway
