Anybody updated to it yet? I had gone to 3.6.0 or 1 and that didn't work out well, so reverted to 3.5.9. Thought I'd try 3.6.3, and I've liked it very much. Does seem faster.

I know a lot of people were having issues also with 3.6.x, but have any of y'all gone to 3.6.3? Or did I just get lucky - lol.

3.6, and it's versions, is still buggy. My two threads at the Firefox Forum about this issue are still active and people are still posting to it with all of the same problems, even with the latest update to 3.6.4.

Are you using 3.6.3 to post in here now? This is one of the sites that had issues with the cursor disappearing.

Would be interested to know if 3.6.3 has addressed the missing cursor problem in some forums

Yes, I agree Mums. I hope that everyone who has updated to the 3.6.4 will share their experiences, pro and con. I'm especially curious about the cursor issue here at CF.

Yes, Ally, I'm using 3.6.3 to post and everything is as normal as ever except faster - I've had it for a month or so. But as I said the early version of 3.6 didn't improve anything, and in fact, made things worse.

I have/had read all the issues you and other posters had said about 3.6.x, but since this version was newer, I decided to give it a try. All's well. But with the issues with FF updates recently, I wasn't going to jump on 3.6.4. Ya know?wink_smile.gif

Thank you for sharing that Maxc!

Although most of the folks having problems with the 3.6's are those using Windows 7, there were still plenty of those with XP who had the same cursor issues with certain sites and problems using email, especially yahoo.

It's really good to know you are using 3.6.4 successfully. regular_smile.gif

I've used Firefox since 1.5 and updated each time a new one came out. I don't use a lot of add-on, I only have 6 and I've never used "Ad-block" But once and had so much trouble I just stopped using it . I'm using 3.6.4 at present and not had any problems on any site I've visited.
Hope all has a good day.

wow, great to have this thread --

I'm still using 3.5 .. updated to 3.5.10, and it seems that gmail has been a tad sluggish since 3.5.8... all other sites no problem, just with gmail. When I use chrome with gmail it zooms like FF used to. So is anyone using 3.6 that uses gmail ... if so, any pros/cons??

THANKS so much!!!

Hugx

tomv thank you for your input. I really appreciate hearing this!

Just to recap, it sounds like no one who has updated to 3.6.4 has had the cursor issue here at CF, which is great news. If they have also fixed the sluggishness issue (the 3.6 versions were slower than the 3.5's) then 3.6.4 might be a winner!

I hope folks who try it will continue to check in.

Thanks! regular_smile.gif

I tried 3.6.4, Ally - running Win 7 here. As you said in an earlier post, I lost the cursor here at CF after installing it. As soon as I saw that happening, I rolled right back to 3.5.10!! lol (Rollback Rx is a program I use, much like GoBack which was pre-vista)

Thank you so much for checking in, Brownie, and sharing that info. I'm sorry to hear it though. Oh well, at least 3.5.10 is very good.

Thank again! regular_smile.gif

I wonder if the rush to get out updates and have them work could be the fact that Dell is working with Google to put Chrome on it's computers when built to give those who don't want to use IE a second choice from the get go. I love Firefox but still running 3.5.10. After my problems last week I don't want to take chances. lol I'll be waiting to see how the new version does.

That's good to hear Moe, thank you! Tell me... Did you have the cursor issue here with the earliest 3.6 releases?
