Firefox has issued 3.5.8 which is a security and stability update for 3.5.7. (This is not to be confused with Firefox 3.6 that caused all the problems here at CF and elsewhere.) It is strongly recommend that all Firefox users upgrade to this latest release. If you already have Firefox 3.5 or Firefox 3, you will receive an automated update notification within 24 to 48 hours. This update can also be applied manually by selecting "Check for Updates…" from the Help menu. Read about it here: http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vuln.../firefox35.htmlRelease notes here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.5.8/releasenotes/(Please ignore the enticing little green "Download Now" box on the right side of the page...) Thank you for the advice. I downloaded Firefox 3.6 and had problems with sites, thought it was a bad download, went to add/remove, removed Firefox, rebooted, reinstalled 3.6, still problems, remembered I'd read something about problems with Firefox 3.6, scrolled back through General until I found this thread, removed Firefox 3.6, rebooted, downloaded 3.5.8 from this link (reply 10) and all the problems I was having are fixed.
