In the navigation bar at the top of the page, you will find links to all areas of our website. We have a PC & Technology Help forum for general problems, a Malware Help forum for help removing and dealing with malware/spyware/ad-ware, and a Social forum where we can let our hair down. Please be sure to read any Announcements or Pinned posts before posting on each particular forum.
When posting about a problem on the PC & Technology Help or Malware Help forums, we need some basic information about your computer. Problems/solutions may be specific to an operating system or a known issue with a browser or program, for example, and providing information about your computer helps us to help you. We need the following information, otherwise we're just throwing darts at a dartboard while blindfolded.
Operating System: Win98, ME, XP, Vista, Win 7 (32 or 64 bit) and Service Pack installed
Make (Manufacturer, or state custom build if not an OEM prebuild), model number and variety of computer, ie: desktop, laptop, netbook
Amount of RAM installed
Browser: IE6/7/8/9, Firefox, Opera, etc. (used when the problem occurred if needed)
Name of anti-virus installed
Name of firewall used
Names of anti-malware used
Problem program (if needed)
Problem description and when/how occurring - if you are getting error messages of some kind, we need the exact and total message along with any error number that may be indicated.
The free Belarc Advisor can help you find most of the information:
Belarc Advisor Please do not post your Belarc scan results as they contain product keys and other personally identifiable information. Just use it to get information you may need to help us to help you.
Also, when requesting help on our forums, please try to use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation before hitting the "Post" button, and refrain from using "textspeak" (some of us don't understand it) to the best of your ability. We aren't school teachers here and won't be grading you on the quality of your posts, but using proper sentence structure, punctuation and grammar helps us to understand what you are trying to say, especially since we don't have the benefit of speaking face to face and have to rely on what you write. An omitted punctuation mark or a misspelled word can change the entire meaning of a sentence. The more clearly and concisely you describe your problem, and the more "readable" your post is, the more likely it will be that we can help you without having to take the time to try second-guessing what you're asking.
If you are having a problem with a particular program/peripheral and/or update and feel it is an issue with the program/peripheral/update itself and not your computer, keep in mind that if we didn't write it, we can't troubleshoot it. Please read this post for more info as well as the linked article listing support resources for commonly used programs.
We also have an Article System with general computer tips, as well as tips that are specific to this website.

If you run into problems, you can contact the Administrators by filling out our Contact Form at the bottom of the page. If you have website related problems, you can contact our Webmaster through the Issue Report Form, also at the bottom of the page. And, as it was on MSN Community-Feedback, if you have a question about or problem with the way the forum is run or managed, please contact us via the above form or via a PM to an administrator or moderator. These questions and/or issues will not be addressed on any of the boards. Spam and abusive/argumentative/disruptive posts on the forums will be removed without comment at the discretion of moderators and administrators, and those posting them subject to a ban.
Community Feedback survives through donations. You are not required to donate, and there is no minimum amount if you do wish to donate. All donations go towards covering the continuing costs of running Community Feedback, such as hosting fees and software licensing fees. All donations will be kept confidential. There are no "special perks" for donors. Everyone is equal here, whether you choose to donate or not.
Again, welcome to Community Feedback.
